IC nurse, flexible availability

As an IC nurse at MST, you provide intensive care to patients with complex and acute health problems. You work in a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for monitoring, supporting, and stabilizing vital functions. Following nurse-driven protocols, you perform specialized nursing actions, such as managing ventilation and dialysis equipment, administering medication, and interpreting monitoring data. Additionally, you play an important role in guiding patients and their loved ones during critical phases of treatment. Together with your colleagues, you strive for the highest possible quality of care, and the department is constantly evolving. Within the IC, you will have the opportunity to further specialize and participate in innovative projects aimed at improving IC care.

In this role, alongside your current job as an IC nurse, you can flexibly plan when and how much you work. We can offer a contract from 0 to 16 hours. This allows you to coordinate your work well with what is important to you.

You will be working in the Intensive Care department of Medisch Spectrum Twente in Enschede, a top-clinical hospital with a Level 1 trauma center. The IC is modernly equipped and provides care to a diverse patient population with various conditions. Despite the size of the department, a collegial and professional atmosphere prevails within the team, in which collaboration and continuous development are central. Successes are always celebrated together. The multidisciplinary IC team consists of 160 employees. All are experienced and professional colleagues with whom you will work closely on the complex care within the IC department. We would love to demonstrate this. Shadowing for a day is therefore part of the procedure.

• You are a qualified IC nurse with a valid BIG registration. 

• You possess excellent clinical skills and can act effectively in acute situations.

• You are communicatively skilled and can collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team.

• You are flexible and decisive and have a proactive attitude towards your work and professional development.

• Alongside your current work as an IC nurse, you also want to work in an IC that involves ‘other patient categories’.

• You are curious and want to expand your knowledge.
