As a Line Leader, you are responsible for realizing safe, stable, and efficient production processes within our production site in Hoogezand.
You will work in day shifts yourself and lead operators working in a shift rotation organization. Additionally, you will manage technical specialists who, just like you, work in day shifts. In this role, you connect different teams and ensure strong collaboration between operations and engineering.
You are visibly present on the shop floor and create an environment in which safety, ownership, and continuous improvement are central. You know how to bring people along in change, stimulate engagement, and support employees in their professional development.
An important part of this position is the further development and anchoring of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), with a strong focus on the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) pillar and Equipment Ownership. You stimulate operators to take ownership of their installations by monitoring basic conditions, signaling deviations in a timely manner, performing inspections, and consistently applying standards. You coach teams in independently maintaining and improving their equipment and create a culture in which everyone feels responsible for the performance of the installation. In doing so, you contribute to a safe working environment, higher process reliability, and sustainable operational performance.
As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, you will also contribute to improvement initiatives and projects that have an impact on the entire factory.
Team Leadership: Leading operators in shift work and technical specialists in day shifts, and ensuring an engaged, result-oriented team.
Safety Excellence: Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Operational Performance: Improving the performance of the production line by reducing losses and unplanned downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Initiating and guiding improvement trajectories based on Lean, TPM, and other improvement methodologies.
Equipment Ownership: Stimulating ownership of machines and installations by strengthening standards, inspections, and preventive activities.
People Development: Coaching and developing employees and supporting change and development trajectories.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with different disciplines and contributing to factory-wide projects and strategic objectives.
You have a HBO or WO degree in a technical or technical business administration direction.
You have experience within an automated production environment and preferably possess approximately five years of leadership experience within manufacturing, operations, or a similar environment.
You have knowledge of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies.
You are a coaching and inspiring leader who knows how to motivate people, stimulates ownership, successfully guides changes, and always puts safety first.
You have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-being, gives meaning to everything we do. At Essity, you get the chance to improve people's well-being and make a positive impact on society and the environment. You will join an organization where you feel valued, get the space to grow, and are challenged to achieve results in an open and collaborative working environment.
