Road Logistics Team Leader Domestic Planning

Do you want to play an important role in our dynamic Cartage department? As Cartage Team Leader in Doesburg, you will lead a team of 7 Cartage employees, consisting of 2 experienced planners and 4 to 5 assistant planners, and ensure an efficient, high-quality, and customer-oriented execution of our domestic planning. You are the connecting link between our Groupage department, the Crossdock, the drivers, and also the receivers of our shipments—making you essential to our performance.

• You lead the daily domestic planning for inbound shipments and collections.
• You monitor delivery performance, lead times, and the quality of our shipments. You analyze performance data and initiate improvement projects that increase efficiency.
• You optimize load factors and coordinate consolidation and deconsolidation.
• You identify operational bottlenecks and solve them proactively. You implement new ways of working and optimize processes within cartage.
• You maintain contact with external partners and drivers, and you are the point of contact for other departments and our sales team regarding customer inquiries about our planning and capabilities when they wish to do business with us.
• You coordinate capacity and forecasts with Fleet and external partners.
• You monitor network KPIs (transit times, costs, quality) and drive improvements. You monitor costs for transport, handling, and the network, and drive returns per shipment and line.
• You are the escalation point for sales (customers) and our external partners and monitor service levels.
• You create a positive, result-oriented work environment for your team: You create schedules, distribute tasks, and conduct performance and appraisal interviews.

• MBO 4 / HBO working and thinking level.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transport or logistics.
• Experience with (domestic) planning is required.
• Leadership experience within an operational environment.
• Good knowledge of Dutch topography, road transport, and logistical networks.
• Experience with TMS systems; basic knowledge of customs processes is a plus.
• You communicate clearly, are decisive, and know how to bring people along in change.
