You have a completed HBO or WO degree in a technical direction, such as: Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Technical Business Administration, Mechatronics, or similar.
You possess strong analytical skills and get energy from understanding complex technical issues and process data.
You are a strong communicator, enjoy collaborating with various stakeholders, and know how to bring people along in changes by clearly explaining what is needed and why. Additionally, you are proactive, curious, coaching, result-oriented, and have a hands-on mentality.
Preferably, you have experience within an automated production environment, such as the process industry, chemicals, food, or a similar technical environment.
You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

As a Process Engineer, you will work at our Nonwoven location in Suameer, where you are responsible for optimizing and improving production processes on our nonwoven machine: Jetje. This production line plays an important role within Essity and remains essential for our sustainable product development in the future.
You will work in a highly automated production environment in which continuous improvement is central. Together with operators, fellow process engineers, and technical specialists, you will work daily on increasing the performance, quality, and reliability of our processes. You will be present on the shop floor frequently, because that is exactly where you can make the greatest impact.
The ultimate goal? Minimize losses, increase process stability, and, together with the people on the shop floor, take production to a higher level.
Process optimization: Analyzing, improving, and securing production processes to further increase the performance, quality, and efficiency of the Jetje line.
Root Cause Analysis: Performing RCAs, analyzing process data, and implementing structural solutions for technical and process-related disruptions.
Manufacturing Excellence: Managing and improving systems and tools such as DDS, CIL, and CL to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.
Standardization: Developing, implementing, and securing process settings, work instructions, and sustainable process standards.
Operational support: Actively participating in daily operational meetings and following up on improvement actions within the production area.
Coaching & Training: Training, guiding, and coaching operators in process control, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Projects & Innovation: Driving and supporting material developments, product introductions, and the implementation of technical improvement projects.
