• You keep a sharp eye on the operational performance and results of your department and steer where necessary;
• You are a pragmatic problem solver who is always looking for ways to let your team perform optimally;
• You resolve structural deviations using LEAN/Continuous Improvement;
• You identify disruptions in the chain and tackle them proactively;
• You initiate and implement improvements in the processes as soon as you have identified bottlenecks.

You will join the Engine Services department of KLM Engineering & Maintenance at Schiphol-Oost. Here, you will report to the Plant Leader MRO or Plant Leader Repair and lead a team of 30-70 colleagues. KLM Engine Services is a crucial link within Engineering & Maintenance. We maintain various types of aircraft engines and ensure that our approximately 150 customers worldwide can safely bring their passengers to their destination. You are a driven team player who, together with your colleagues, ensures that Engine Services keeps running. You move effortlessly across different levels and know how to present various topics convincingly. You engage in conversation with your team members and apply different conversational methods to bring out the best in them. You have a passion for process optimization and excel at solving problems. In no time, you analyze where the problem lies and come up with effective improvement proposals.

Additionally:

• You possess HBO/WO working and thinking level;
• You possess at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a technical production environment;
• You have experience with LEAN/Continuous Improvement;
• You have proven knowledge of ERP systems;
• You have proven knowledge of a technical environment and preferably experience in a production environment;
• You are open to working evening shifts (15:30 - 00:00);
• You speak and write fluent Dutch and English.

• A gross salary between €4,988.38 and €7,126.25 gross per month;
