As a Strategic Energy Buyer, you ensure that Ennatuurlijk possesses the energy contracts needed to deliver sustainable heat today and tomorrow. You negotiate and contract energy commodities such as gas, electricity, (residual) heat, biomass, and CO₂, and you actively contribute to the further development of our energy portfolio. In doing so, you have a direct influence on the affordability, sustainability, and security of supply of heat for thousands of customers.

You are part of the Energy Management team. This team optimizes the financial performance of our heat production by smartly connecting energy demand, market prices, and available assets. At the same time, we work daily on our sustainability ambitions and a reliable heat supply. We also leverage opportunities in balancing and congestion markets to extract extra value from our assets. You play a crucial role in this dynamic environment.

• You are responsible for the full contract lifecycle of gas, electricity, (residual) heat, biomass, and CO₂: from market exploration, sourcing, and negotiations to contracting, implementation, and management;

• You contract flexibility solutions that allow our assets to participate in balancing and congestion markets and contribute to an optimal return on our energy portfolio;

• You develop multi-year sourcing plans that align with the future source mix, the asset portfolio, and the customer demand of Ennatuurlijk;

• You build and maintain sustainable relationships with suppliers and other market parties, monitor compliance with agreements made, and steer towards optimal cooperation and contract performance;

• You monitor developments in the energy market and laws and regulations and translate these into opportunities and points of attention for Ennatuurlijk;

• You work closely with Project Development and create the commercial and contractual framework for successful operation for new heat sources and assets;

• You contribute to the further professionalization of our procurement, sourcing, and contract management processes.

You combine analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to translate input from various stakeholders into solid contractual agreements. You anticipate changing circumstances sharply. You are available 32 to 40 hours per week. Furthermore, you are:

• Educated at HBO/WO level, preferably in the direction of Economics, (Technical) Business Administration, Management, or a similar field of study;

• Experienced in strategic sourcing and contracting within complex energy markets;

• Strong in translating market developments and strategic issues into concrete initiatives;

• A persuasive negotiator who creates value for all parties involved;

• Skilled in connecting diverse stakeholders and building sustainable collaborations;

• Strong communicator in the Dutch language, analytical, and accurate;

• Adaptive and a result-oriented doer.
