The role

As a Purchaser at VDL Agrotech, you ensure that our projects have the right parts and materials on time. You work closely with engineering, project management, and suppliers, and you actively contribute ideas for smart procurement solutions. You will focus primarily on project-based purchasing. Many suppliers are already known, so your added value lies in monitoring delivery times, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and identifying opportunities for improvement. In doing so, you look beyond just placing orders. Can parts be purchased more smartly? Are suitable alternatives available? And how can processes be further optimized? Additionally, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Placing and following up on orders;
• Monitoring delivery times and delivery reliability;
• Maintaining contacts with suppliers;
• Handling complaints and deviations;
• Collaborating with engineering on product alternatives and optimizations;
• Identifying opportunities for improvement within the procurement process;
• Contributing to a reliable and efficient supply chain.
