The role
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for emerging talent throughout the year. Are you studying Dutch law, Notarial law, Tax law, or Fiscal economics? Then apply for a position as a working student.
During a working student position within one of our practice groups, you will become a full member of a team of lawyers, (candidate) notaries, and/or tax advisors. You will share an office with an experienced colleague and will also be assigned an internship supervisor and a buddy to guide you personally. Naturally, you are also very welcome at all social and professional events and can participate in our vitality program. In short: a working student position is the perfect opportunity to experience what it is like to work at an international law firm and to get to know DLA Piper! Furthermore, it is entirely possible that your working student position will transition into an appointment as a lawyer, candidate notary, or tax specialist. This working student position includes a market-conform salary and good employment conditions. Naturally, your (public transport) travel expenses will also be fully reimbursed.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a working student, you will participate fully in practice for an extended period. You will conduct research, prepare notes, and draft procedural documents and drafts. Furthermore, you may attend hearings, client meetings, and of course, you will attend the practice group meetings. It may also be that you are involved in (international) Pro Bono projects or activities, through which you can enrich your knowledge and experience and we can together give something back to society.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for students who are (almost) in the master's phase of their studies in Dutch law, Notarial law, Tax law, or Fiscal economics and have previously completed an internship within commercial law, the notary profession, or tax advisory practice. You are broadly interested in legal matters and enjoy getting to know working in (international) teams on cross-border matters. Are you also available for (at least) 4 months for a minimum of 2 days per week? Then apply quickly for this position!
We would like to receive your motivation letter, CV, transcripts, and internship evaluations. In your motivation letter, we would like to read during which period you are available and which practice group(s) you prefer. Have you become enthusiastic, but are you hesitating whether you meet all the above characteristics? Then we would still like to receive your application. A quick phone call to discuss can, of course, always happen!
