Where will you work?

Worldwide, more than 2800 legal professionals work at Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, of which approximately 70 are lawyers, (candidate) civil law notaries, tax lawyers, and paralegals in Amsterdam.
Because of this, Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Amsterdam offers "the best of both worlds"; it combines a high-quality global environment with the advantages of a firm with an informal atmosphere and short lines of communication. We provide our clients with clear, practical, and high-quality advice through a collaborative approach. We quickly develop actionable and achievable solutions for the complex challenges our clients face.
Innovation & Inclusion and Responsible Business are important priorities for our firm. Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is among the top 5 most innovative law firms in North America and Europe. At Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, you will get the chance to shape both your own future and that of our clients. Doing pro bono and volunteer work is in our people's DNA. In this way, we take our responsibility to give something back to society.
Our people are the key to success and therefore we strive to attract and retain the most talented people in all regions of our global practice.
What can you expect?
As a working student, you will be part of our Tax unit approximately two days a week for three months. The unit is involved in both the advising and guidance of transactions as well as general tax advice for permanent clients, working both independently and in a multidisciplinary context, together with other business units. The team supports national and international businesses and has in-depth knowledge and experience in areas such as international (re)structuring, M&A, securitization, financing and derivatives, the setting up of investment funds, and forms of employee participation.
Your tasks are broad and diverse and include, among other things, analyzing tax issues, drafting memos and draft advice, assisting with tax compliance activities, and preparing presentations and related matters. Additionally, you are of course welcome at all our social activities. This ensures everything is covered during your working student period, giving you a good idea of what it is like to be part of Hogan Lovells Cadwalader.
