Associate Restructuring

We would love to get in touch with candidates with:

• 4 - 7 years of solid banking practice experience in the field of renewable energy and infrastructure projects
• Affinity with and good working knowledge of the relevant sub-fields of project finance transactions, including real estate, spatial planning, permits, subsidies, and environment, as well as corporate law issues
• Demonstrable experience with project contracts, including (whether or not based on FIDIC) EPC, O&M, (corporate) PPA, connection and transmission, interface, and technical/commercial management agreements
• Legal depth and a practical, solution-oriented attitude
• An authentic, strong, and energetic personality with a commercial bent and flair
• A strong sense of entrepreneurship
• Ambition to work in an international context
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written

The Finance team is looking for a lawyer with a (banking) focus on project finance transactions.

We advise our clients on a wide range of topics, including financial restructurings, acquisition and real estate finance, as well as project finance in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. The lawyers in the Finance practice group are assisted in their advice on the aforementioned project finance transactions by specialists from our real estate, corporate, tax, and regulatory practice groups. In this way, we work together so that the deep knowledge of the specialties is utilized optimally. Recently formulated climate goals by the Dutch government have led to a strong increase in the number of renewable energy projects, as a result of which DLA Piper has been able to strengthen its role as an advisor by providing advice on these very large and complex transactions.

In addition, DLA Piper has traditionally been actively involved in infrastructure project financings initiated by the government through tendering processes. The involvement in renewable energy infrastructure is fueled by our firm's desire to play a significant role in combating climate change, not only in the Netherlands but also internationally.
