Associate Leverage

Our Finance team is looking for an ambitious lawyer with solid experience in general lending and preferably a demonstrable interest in acquisition-related financing transactions.
You will join a practice that is active across a wide spectrum of financing issues, including restructurings, acquisition finance, and real estate financing. This role is specifically part of our Leverage Finance subgroup, which focuses on private equity-linked financing provided by private credit funds.

A large part of our work is multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary, in which we work closely with colleagues from corporate (including notary), tax, regulatory, and real estate, as well as with our international offices. Effective and constructive collaboration with all parties involved is essential here.

We advise some of the most active private equity investors in the Netherlands, as well as the private credit funds and national and international financial institutions that support them. Over the years, our team has grown into a top-tier lead advisor in this segment, known for our hands-on and pragmatic approach.

• Fulfilling a leading counsel role in Dutch and international financing transactions, specifically also M&A-related financing
• Maintaining active and direct contact with clients and peers
• Providing integrated legal and commercial advice, presented proactively and with a focus on solutions
• Working closely within the practice group and with specialists from other disciplines and jurisdictions
• Networking with clients and peers to support relationship and business development
• Making well-considered decisions, both internally and externally
• Actively contributing to training and knowledge initiatives - both by learning and by sharing knowledge

We would love to get in touch with candidates who:

• Have 4-7 years of experience in banking/finance, preferably with knowledge of leverage or acquisition finance
• Have a hands-on, energetic, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mentality
• Have the ambition to operate in a lead counsel role within an international environment
• Have excellent oral and written command of both Dutch and English
