For our service department, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer / all-round service technician with a passion for technology. In this role, you will work on various mechanical installations aboard vessels, with an emphasis on hydraulic and mechanical systems.
This position is explicitly also interesting for technicians outside the maritime sector. Do you, for example, work as a truck mechanic, car mechanic, hydraulic technician, or in another technical service role, and does working on large, complex installations appeal to you? Then we would love to meet you.
What makes this role attractive is the variety. One day you are working on a planned installation on a newbuild vessel, the next day you are resolving a fault aboard a ship located somewhere in a port. You will be engaged in practical technology: inspecting, repairing, adjusting, testing, and troubleshooting.
What will you do?
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be involved in, among other things:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and partly electrical installations aboard vessels;
Performing inspections on, among other things, steering machines and rudder installations, including in accordance with relevant guidelines;
Independently resolving faults and performing repairs on location;
Testing, adjusting, and configuring installations in the workshop and aboard;
Preparing work and collecting necessary parts;
Drafting service and inspection reports after completing a job;
Providing first-line support during faults;
Occasionally performing work in the workshop for service or production.
We are looking for a technician or service engineer who enjoys working independently, is technically strong, and gets energy from varied work on location.
You recognize yourself in the following:
Are you a technical technician who is ready for more variety, more independence, and challenging work at special locations? And does working on installations aboard vessels appeal to you, even if you currently work in another technical sector? Then we would love to get in touch with you.
