Rail Project Manager

As a rail project manager, you will steer trajectories in the right direction and help build a safe and sustainable rail infrastructure in the Netherlands.

From rail renewal and station adjustments to viaducts and underpasses: as a rail project manager, you will lead challenging projects in and around the rail infrastructure. Together with our colleagues, you will develop a plan of approach for every project. You will think through the various steps and bring the right specialists together. Subsequently, you will ensure that your project is executed within schedule, budget, and quality requirements. With your practical and motivating input, you will ensure that project members grow in their roles. You will also encourage them to develop opportunities and innovations. And if the work doesn't go quite as planned? Then you are the one who keeps a cool head and comes up with a solution.

You will fulfill a central role as a point of contact for our clients, such as ProRail, contractors, and various government bodies. From the tender phase through to delivery, you will know how to provide them with maximum support. In doing so, you lay the foundation for long-term client relationships. • Developing rail infrastructure in the Netherlands;

The reconstruction of a station area, the renewal of the track, or a level crossing: working on and around the rail is a high-performance sport. In your work, you will naturally have a lot of contact with clients and stakeholders and are therefore not only technically proficient: you know how to establish communicative connections with clients and colleagues to help them solve mobility challenges in the Netherlands.

• A completed HBO or WO degree;

• Experience as a project manager is a plus, but experience as an advisor or design lead is also welcome;

• Experience in leading project teams or the ambition to do so;

• Dealing with time and budget in a result-oriented manner;

• You are entrepreneurial and stand firmly in your shoes;

• You are structured, maintain an overview, and ensure that matters are completed carefully and fully;

• A coaching style of leadership and good communication skills.
