The role
Do you already know installation technology inside and out? Then perhaps it is time to start looking at it as an advisor from now on.
What will you do as a project engineer installation technology at Antea Group?
You have been working in installation technology for a few years. For example, as an installation technology work preparer, technical engineer, or project coordinator within commercial building construction. You know how mechanical and/or electrical installations come together in practice and you know the dynamics of construction projects. But you want to go further. Not just preparing what someone else has thought of, but researching, advising, and designing yourself. More contact with clients. Thinking along about sustainable solutions. And working on buildings that are technically just a little more interesting than average. At Antea Group, you will get the space to take that step and develop yourself into an installation technology advisor.
What you'll do
As a project engineer installation technology, you will work on a wide range of diverse construction projects. You will work for public and social clients, such as municipalities, the Central Government Real Estate Agency, and foundations for heritage and sports. Additionally, we serve commercial companies in high-tech, industry, and logistics, including ASML, AkzoNobel, and UPS. Assignments vary from feasibility and design to construction supervision, management, and maintenance. You certainly won't be sitting behind your desk five days a week. One day you work with colleagues on a technical design or advice. The next day, you put on your safety shoes and go to a project location to inspect existing installations, conduct a survey, or discuss execution. So, both indoors and outdoors. Specifically, you will be involved in:
Inspecting and inventorying existing building installations;
Collaborating on designs and technical advice for new construction, renovation, and sustainability;
Assessing technical solutions and installations;
Elaborating technical issues and reports;
Thinking along about sustainable and future-proof building installations.
What you will enjoy doing
You don't have to be independent from day one. Your practical experience in installation technology is precisely the starting point. You will learn the advisory profession from experienced colleagues and receive increasing responsibility. You have learned from practice how installations are prepared and realized. Now you want to discover why certain technical choices are made and soon advise on them yourself. This is what you will enjoy doing:
Investigating and solving technical problems;
Alternating working on your laptop with project visits;
Thinking along about mechanical and/or electrical installations;
Collaborating with different technical disciplines;
Having contact with clients and executing parties;
Taking on projects with increasing independence;
Developing yourself from technical specialist to advisor.
Who do you work with?
You will join the close-knit team of the Building advisory group. Together with colleagues from, among others, building technology, installation technology, and asset management, you will work integrally on projects. What you will notice from this: a strong emphasis on collaboration and work atmosphere, and the possibility of sharing knowledge between experienced and starting colleagues. Within Antea Group, we work multidisciplinarily, and you will work closely with colleagues from other advisory groups and external construction partners, with whom we exchange knowledge and expertise. At Antea Group, you will get the space to develop yourself and take on more responsibility step by step. What you can also expect from us:
A salary between €3,500 and €4,800 gross per month (based on 40 hours and depending on experience);
A 13th month;
Flexible working hours and the possibility to work (partially) from home;
A home office allowance and a well-equipped home working space;
An informal work atmosphere with engaged colleagues;
Additionally, within Antea Group, professional developments and career growth are part of the work, for example via our own Antea Group Academy.
This is what you bring
For us, the most important thing is not that "installation technology advisor" is already on your CV. We find it much more interesting that you know the technology and are curious about the next step. Therefore, we are looking for someone who:
Has completed a technical MBO or HBO education, for example in the direction of installation technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or building-related installations;
Already has some work experience within installation technology, preferably within commercial building construction;
Wants to grow from, for example, work preparation, engineering, execution, or project coordination;
Is interested in building-related installations and sustainability;
Likes to go outdoors to locations, but also enjoys elaborating technical issues;
Is curious and enjoys learning from experienced advisors and specialists.
