At Arup, we work towards a better world. We are an independent engineering firm owned by our employees, comprising designers, planners, engineers, consultants, and technical experts, dedicated to sustainable development and meaningful work that truly matters. Come work with us in the Netherlands and help realize some of the most challenging and complex projects within infrastructure. You will be in contact with 18,000 employees across the globe.
Inspired by the philosophy of our founders, our infra team constantly pushes the boundaries of 'Total Design'. We create innovative and sustainable solutions that exceed expectations. Infrastructure projects require a cost-effective, efficient, and risk-aware approach. In close collaboration with our clients, we realize bridge programs of every scale, thanks to our multidisciplinary teams and global expertise. Infrastructure design within our team connects disciplines such as geotechnics, hydraulic engineering, bridges, tunnels, railways, and more—and brings people together with a wealth of experience and inspiring stories.
The work of our Rail and Roads & Streets teams ranges from large railway stations and multimodal transport hubs to bridges, tunnels, roads, and urban mobility projects. For example, we work on leading projects such as Zuidasdok, the exploration of a new public transport connection between Amsterdam Sloterdijk and the city center (OVSA), and the renovation of iconic infrastructure projects such as the Van Brienenoordbrug and the Haringvlietbrug.
As a Project Manager within our Rail, Roads & Streets Business, you will lead tenders and realize projects within the Dutch infrastructure market. It is a role in which you make a real external and internal impact—you win new work and build sustainable client relationships, while also coaching and developing the next generation of project managers. With strong project leadership, commercial insight, and a collaborative attitude, you will help us continue building a better world for our clients and society.
Lead tenders and quotes within Rail Roads & Streets, using a strong commercial approach, and contribute to a winning strategy.
Support the development of our company by identifying opportunities, contributing to client strategies, and helping to grow the work order volume within Rail, Roads & Streets.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders in the Dutch infrastructure market.
Lead the successful realization of projects, where scope, quality, budget, planning, and risks are effectively managed by you.
Represent the organization externally as a credible project manager with strong knowledge of infrastructure realization and client expectations.
Train and mentor junior and mid-level project managers, so they can strengthen their skills in project management, stakeholder management, and tender leadership.
Promote effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing project environment.
Share lessons learned from tenders and projects to improve realization quality, commercial performance, and future winning opportunities.
