Requirements

Nice to have

  • Relevant HBO (higher professional education) degree, such as Agriculture, Forestry and Nature Management, Land Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar;

  • Interest in soil projects and land engineering;

  • Knowledge of the agricultural, geo-, and land engineering field;

  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with GIS is a plus;

  • Affinity with livestock and arable farming;

  • Independent and proactive working attitude;

  • Strong social and communication skills: you are a connecting link between client, contractor, and landowner.

The role

Are you interested in the agricultural sector, soil projects, and land engineering? And do you want to contribute to sustainable solutions in rural areas? As a (junior) soil and land engineering advisor, you will work on projects that make a real impact on the agricultural sector and the landscape.

As a (junior) soil and land engineering advisor, you work at the intersection of soil, groundwater, and land engineering, with a focus on cable and pipeline installation. You contribute to projects that directly affect the agricultural sector, agricultural land use, and the mitigation of crop damage during construction activities.

What you'll do

You supervise and interpret field data and, based on this, prepare land engineering advice for the installation of cables and pipelines. You draw up research plans, prepare fieldwork, and translate soil and terrain analyses into practical advice for execution.

You are a versatile professional who switches between technology, the environment, and the interests of the parties involved. Within the field of land affairs, you are broadly deployable: from land engineering advice and soil research to maintaining contact with landowners and users. Advising on limiting crop damage and carefully integrating activities into the landscape is also part of it. You will be given the space to grow into an independent advisor or project manager in challenging projects within rural areas.

What you enjoy doing:

  • Supervising and interpreting field data;

  • Drawing up land engineering advice for cable and pipeline installation;

  • Preparing fieldwork, including drawing up research plans;

  • Working with - or learning to work with - MS Office and GIS software for data analysis and reporting.
