(Junior) Geotechnical Engineer

As a (Junior) Geotechnical Engineer at Cofra BV, you are the specialist providing both geotechnical and broader technical support within our projects. You will work from our Amsterdam office, but will also regularly be present at the Boskalis headquarters in Papendrecht, where you will participate in large, multidisciplinary tenders. Additionally, you will get the chance to participate at project locations at home and abroad for short or long periods.

• Performing designs for our products and providing geotechnical supervision during execution.
• General duties such as writing/checking the technical part of tenders, method statements, supervising field tests, and setting out soil investigations.
• Analyzing production data and acting upon it with advice for execution.
• In addition to office work in the Netherlands, you must be willing to travel abroad for short or long periods for geotechnical supervision of our ground improvement projects and compaction tests.
• Supporting the project and tendering teams with geotechnical advice.

What you bring
You can make the difference in the role of (Junior) Geotechnical Engineer if you bring the following:

• You have a HBO/WO degree in the field of civil engineering, geotechnics, or technical earth sciences.
• You have good communication skills and an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• You are well-organized and able to switch between different projects.
• You possess a Category B driver's license.
• You have experience with MS Office.
• You do not find occasional travel to be a problem.
