Due to significant growth in the Netherlands, WSP BU Water wants to strengthen the expertise of our Water Safety team in Breda, Nieuwegein or Rotterdam .
Supporting the analysis and interpretation of geotechnical calculations, such as stability and piping analyses, and contributing to substantiated advice;
The (co-)execution, supervision, and interpretation of soil investigations, together with senior advisors;
Contributing to advisory reports based on calculations and conducted soil investigations, during which you will learn to recognize and identify risks and points of attention.
As a junior advisor, you will contribute to the design and testing of diverse hydraulic engineering and water safety projects. You are not tied to a single project or client, but instead support multiple projects simultaneously. Think of trajectories such as Sterke Lekdijk, Dijkversterking Moerdijk- Drimmelen and various dike reinforcement projects in Limburg such as Zuidelijk Maasdal. This variety ensures that you learn a lot and develop quickly within the field.
Together with experienced advisors, you will contribute to substantive analyses and advice. Through collaboration with the development platform VIKTOR, repetitive (geotechnical) calculations are largely automated. This leaves room to focus on the content: understanding results, asking the right questions, and developing your advisory skills step by step. Together, we work towards a safe and sustainable living environment, for everyone.
You have a passion for the field of water safety and enjoy working on various integrated projects on a project basis. Furthermore, we ask for:
A completed Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, or similar;
Demonstrable affinity with water safety, for example from a (graduation) internship;
A proactive mentality with good Dutch communication skills.
When considering a career change, it is essential to work for a company that aligns with your values and goals, a place where you can feel at home.
We are one of the world's leading engineering and professional services companies. Our trusted employees share a common goal to make a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve through a culture of innovation, integrity, and inclusion.
Hesitating to apply? Just do it! We are proud of promoting diversity, equal opportunities, and professional integration within our teams, and we are convinced that our differences and an inclusive work environment contribute to our development. All applications will be carefully considered.
With us, you can.
With over 40 colleagues spread across Nieuwegein, Breda and Rotterdam, we advise on water management, river engineering, water safety and area development. A unique combination within one department, which enables us to deliver integrated solutions. You report to the head of department and are given the space and guidance to grow across the breadth of the field or, alternatively, to specialize.
