Creating a good schedule? That is more than just filling a roster. You ensure that the right person, at the right time, in the right place is standing. And it is precisely that puzzle that you enjoy.

For a large national organization in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Planner who is not afraid to take responsibility. In fact: you will get the chance here to help shape a new planning role from the ground up.

So, are you analytical, do you love switching gears, and do you see opportunities where others primarily see problems? Then we want to speak to you.

You will become the person who brings overview to a dynamic schedule. You look beyond just the availability of employees. You take into account staffing levels, competencies, travel times, laws and regulations, and the wishes of various stakeholders.

And of course, a schedule never runs exactly as you planned it beforehand. An employee calls in sick, a roster changes, or the staffing level is no longer correct. You remain calm, dive into it, and come up with a solution.

You will, among other things:

• Creating and optimizing staff rosters;
• Ensuring employees are deployed as efficiently as possible;
• Identifying and solving bottlenecks in the planning at an early stage;
• Taking into account the ATW, collective labor agreement (CAO), and other legal frameworks;
• Switching gears with managers and other stakeholders regarding the planning;
• Thinking along about capacity, staffing, and more efficient deployment;
• Improving existing processes and developing new ways of working;
• Actively contributing to the further professionalization of the planning.

This makes this position different from a standard planner role.

The position is new.

So, you are not stepping into a fully thought-out process where you only have to execute. Instead, you are given the space to help determine what the planning will look like, which processes can be improved, and how to make the role as effective as possible.

You are someone who likes to maintain control over a complex puzzle. You work accurately, but do not lose sight of the bigger picture. And when the situation changes? Then you switch along with it.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with planning, personnel planning, or a similar role;
• Gets energy from puzzling, organizing, and optimizing;
• Is strong in analyzing information and making connections;
• Switches easily between different stakeholders;
• Is stress-resistant and maintains overview even during unexpected changes;
• Communicates clearly and does not run away from resistance or difficult conversations;
• Is handy with systems and possesses good numerical insight;
• Enjoys further developing a new role.

Experience with Ortec or similar planning software is a plus, but not a must.

For your commitment, you will of course get something in return:

• A salary of € 3,324 to € 4,748 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on your experience;
• An employment contract of 32 hours per week;
• 8% holiday allowance;
• A choice budget of 2.5%;
• Possibility of an annual merit increase of up to 6%;
