Catering Manager

ZOJazz Stage is Amsterdam's newest concert hall, located at Bijlmerplein in Zuidoost. The venue hosts all kinds of live music, but specifically Jazz and Global music from national and international artists, as well as artists who call Zuidoost home.

Within set frameworks and budgets, responsible for: organization and execution of optimal business-economic and organizational operation of catering activities regarding performances, events, and other gatherings; preparation of annual plans and objectives; provides calculations and advice regarding commercial rentals; activity and staff planning, procurement of food and beverage, banqueting materials, implementation and enforcement of standards and regulations, maintenance of business assets/equipment and spaces; execution of departmental administration, information and promotional material, and rental planning; compiles scripts and provides timely information and coordination with internal services/employees. Performs post-calculations and makes rate proposals, initiates improvements in organization, promotion, and acquisition. Execution of directing services during performances/events is part of the position. Reports to the director.

We are looking for an enthusiastic CATERING MANAGER (M/F/X) with a love for music who can lead the catering team and hold ultimate responsibility on the floor during activities in our concert hall. This concerns a position between 0.2 and 0.6 FTE depending on availability. Working hours are predominantly in the evening and on weekends.

Compensation is in accordance with the CAO Nederlandse Podia based on experience. We request both ambitious juniors and experienced managers to apply. We expect to have room for two new colleagues in this role for our rentals and our own activities and concerts. Residing in the Zuidoost area or having a connection to Zuidoost is a plus. Multilingualism is also a plus given our diverse audience and international guests.
