Civil Engineering Traineeship

What we offer you
As a trainee at KWS, you step into the dynamic world of civil engineering. From road construction and hydraulic engineering to sewerage. You will learn all the tricks of the trade. Furthermore:

• You will work in different roles to learn all facets of the job between 32 and 40 hours per week;

• A salary between €2,800 and €3,300 Gross per 4 weeks;

• Secondary employment conditions: 40 vacation days for plenty of free time, a company electric car (including charging pass - handy for holidays), company laptop and phone;

• You will follow training and courses via the VolkerWessels Academy to develop yourself even further;

• Together with other young professionals, you will share experiences and learn from each other during quarterly meetings and project visits, and you will be part of Jong VolkerWessels, the network for young colleagues full of inspiring events and workshops;

• Plenty of opportunities to grow within KWS and VolkerWessels.

What you will do
The traineeship is a full-fledged job in which you combine working and learning. During 2 years, you will hold a different position every 6 months, allowing you to become acquainted with various aspects of civil engineering. You will rotate through roles such as:

• Site Manager

• Work Preparer

• Business Office (EMVI writer, tender coordinator, etc.)

• Estimator

At KWS, we do not believe that everyone should follow the same path; therefore, we tailor our traineeship to your needs. In consultation with your mentor, you determine how the trajectory looks. This way, you maintain control over your own development, and we support you at every step.

During the traineeship, you will work on various projects in the West-Brabant and Zeeland regions and at our head office in Roosendaal.
