You can work well with different people, enjoy seeking collaboration to achieve results, and focus on collective interests. You also have a good overview and remain calm when the pressure is high. With your technical insight and clear direction, you lay the foundation for the work in the field. And you bring all stakeholders - from colleagues in execution to clients such as municipalities and Rijkswaterstaat - along with your clear communication in your vision and solutions.

Furthermore, you have:

  • MBO 4 or HBO level in the direction of earthworks, road construction, hydraulic engineering, or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a (head) supervisor in earthworks, road and water construction.
  • Knowledge of project schedules, contract agreements, progress statements, and safety regulations.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

You help the Netherlands move forward, we help you
This is what you can expect from us:

  • A gross monthly salary of € 5,500 to € 8,000 (depending on knowledge and experience) based on full-time employment (40 hours).
  • Good employment conditions according to the CAO Bouw & Infra for UTA employees (Technical Administrative Executive), including 20 vacation days and 10 non-working days, a monthly payment of 4.96% UTA days budget, and a 2.3% sustainable employability budget.
  • An electric lease car or a mobility budget of at least € 930 gross per month for a 40-hour employment.
  • A good pension scheme where Boskalis Nederland pays most of the premiums. This results in more net salary for you.
  • Plenty of development opportunities. Think of training via our own Boskalis Academy, Performance & Development conversations, and engaging sessions - from webinars to career events with training and colleagues sharing their career steps within Boskalis.
  • Projects at locations throughout the country. The Boskalis campus in Papendrecht is the base - here you will find restaurants, a sports field with weekly sports lessons, a state-of-the-art auditorium, a hip coffee spot, and a beautiful view of our own shipping quay.
  • Valuable encounters with colleagues. For example, through networking and knowledge sessions and other events. Or the activities of our communities, such as Young Boskalis and Women@Boskalis.

The role

An infrastructure project with tight schedules, many stakeholders, and challenging phases. That requires someone who maintains an overview, dares to make choices, and keeps sight of the whole. As a road construction project manager, you are the one who sets the lines - from tender to completion.

You will work on projects that have a direct impact on the livability and accessibility of the Netherlands. From reconstructions of roads and public spaces in Zwolle and Olst to preparing new area developments for construction and residential use in Harderwijk and activities within regional framework agreements: your work contributes visibly to the infrastructure of tomorrow. Additionally, you will think along about new opportunities and tenders.

Tenders that are successfully won thanks in part to your efforts, you will also go on to realize. Based on your extensive infrastructural experience, you are able to direct both the process and the execution of the project at the right moments. You are strongly involved in aspects such as time, money, safety, resources, and the people working for and with us.

Are schedules under pressure? Are there conflicting interests? Or does the environment demand smart solutions? Then you are the one who switches gears, sets priorities, and moves the project forward.

Directing leading road construction projects and ensuring the Netherlands remains accessible? Go for it!

What you'll do

  • You lead road construction projects from the tender phase through to execution and delivery
  • You manage integral project control: planning, finances, quality, safety, and risks
  • You play an active role in tenders and realize the projects you have helped win
  • You are the technical point of contact for both tender and project teams in the field of road construction
  • You lead project teams and know how to motivate and inspire people
  • You liaise with clients, stakeholders, and partners and know how to bring interests together
  • You think ahead and adjust where necessary to realize the project successfully.

How you can make your mark

Go for it!
