The role
Within Ballast Nedam Infra, we work on the coolest civil engineering structures in the Netherlands. From large highway projects with complex structures, to new ports with large quay walls. We work daily on projects that truly make a difference in the living environment. That is why we offer challenging internships throughout the year for students with a civil engineering background, both in work preparation and in execution.
For example, we are currently fully engaged with the improvement of the A27. This project goes much further than renewing 40 kilometers of highway: we are widening no less than 50 existing structures and replacing two bridges.
In addition, our Business Unit Infra Technologies specializes in complex tunnel renovations. We maintain several tunnels in the Randstad and project teams work daily on the future-proofing of the Dutch tunnel network.
We also work at the intersection of water and land, where our Business Unit Wind and Marine builds wind turbines, quays, and occasionally, a submerged tunnel.
As you can see, the opportunities at Ballast Nedam are enormously diverse. What do all our projects have in common? You will always end up in an experienced and driven team that is eager to involve you in the work and support you in your development. This way, you grow not only professionally, but also personally during your internship.
To give a better idea of what an internship with us looks like, we interviewed Sven, who did an internship last year with the BIM team in our design department. After his graduation, he even joined our company - his internship became the start of a wonderful career!
Do these opportunities excite you and do you want to contribute to one of our beautiful projects? Apply directly and we will speak soon!
