The role

A project such as the widening of the A2 requires strong preparation. Work plans, permits, material flows, schedules, and coordination with various parties must align seamlessly. As a civil engineering site planner, you ensure that everything is ready before execution begins.

You will be working on the A2 project, where Boskalis is working on an important improvement of one of the busiest traffic arteries in the Netherlands. A project with challenging phasing, various stakeholders, and a large social impact.

As a site planner, you are the connecting link between preparation and execution. You ensure that site managers can build without surprises. In doing so, you constantly keep an eye on planning, quality, safety, and costs.

Does a permit process go differently than expected? Are there changes in the planning or execution method? Then you analyze the impact and, together with the team, ensure a suitable solution.

What you'll do

  • You draw up work, quality, and inspection plans and ensure good preparation of the execution.
  • You create and manage schedules and monitor the progress of activities.
  • You coordinate internally with site planners, site managers, project managers, environmental managers, and other disciplines.
  • You maintain contact with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and permit authorities.
  • You ensure that purchased services and materials are available on time and meet the set requirements regarding quality, safety, and planning.
  • You monitor project costs and signal extra or reduced work.
  • You provide reports and contribute to a complete handover dossier.
  • You actively think along about more efficient working methods, optimizations, and smart execution solutions.
