• Experience as a Project Manager, Project Leader, Design Leader, or Advisor at an engineering firm, contractor, developer, or government body.
• Knowledge of underground and above-ground infrastructure and utilities. Experience with soil remediation is a plus.
• An eye for both the technical and financial aspects of projects.
• Strong communication skills and an independent way of working.
• An entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to build long-term relationships.
• Availability for 40 hours per week.
Ideally, you live in Central Netherlands, but if you live further away and don't mind coming to Eindhoven every Friday, then we certainly invite you to apply.
At WSP Infrastructure Development, you will receive a lot of freedom and responsibility within a small, specialized organization, supported by the strength of VolkerWessels.
You can count on:
• A salary for a medior to senior project manager between € 5,500 and € 7,000 gross per 4 weeks, depending on knowledge and experience.
• A junior to medior project manager between €4,800 and €6,500 gross per 4 weeks, depending on knowledge and experience.
• A company electric car with a charging pass for all of Europe.
• Company laptop and phone.
• Employment conditions according to the CAO Bouw & Infra, including 25 vacation days, 15 ADV days, 3 short-term illness days, and an excellent pension scheme.
• Plenty of training and development opportunities within VolkerWessels.
• A varied position with a combination of office work, visiting stakeholders, and project locations.
• Very much freedom and independence in the organization of your work.
As a Project Manager Infrastructure Development / Area Development, you will guide complex area developments from the first urban design sketches to the handover of public space to the municipality. You connect project developers, engineers/consultancy firms, contractors, and governments, ensuring that design, costs, and execution remain in balance throughout the entire process. Do you have experience within civil engineering or area development and do you get energy from complex projects with a long lead time? Then we would love to make acquaintance with you.
As a Project Manager Infrastructure Development, you are the independent process facilitator between project developers, developing contractors, engineers/consultancy firms, municipalities, and other stakeholders. You ensure that design, technology, costs, and planning remain well-coordinated throughout the entire process.
Projects vary in scale and duration. Some projects last one or two years, others twenty years or longer. This requires people with stamina, who can build and maintain relationships.
You are responsible for, among other things:
• Guiding area developments from the urban design sketch phase through to the detailed design.
• Contracting and managing engineers/consultancy firms and landscape architects.
• Preparing, monitoring, and adjusting cost estimates and project budgets.
• Guiding the process from specifications and drawings to realization.
• Coordinating underground and above-ground infrastructure and utilities.
• Coordinating environmental aspects such as flora and fauna, archaeology, and—when necessary—soil remediation.
• Guiding tenders and simplifying the process for clients.
• Arranging the handover of public space to municipalities and other managers.
• Maintaining and further expanding relationships and identifying new opportunities.
You work independently and largely plan your own schedule. On Fridays, the entire team meets at the office in Eindhoven to discuss projects, share knowledge, and exchange experiences.

Many projects run for years. Therefore, trust, cooperation, and a strong network are important pillars within our organization. A large part of our assignments stems from long-term relationships and our network within VolkerWessels and beyond.
