The role

The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. In our team, we work daily on the development of new high-voltage substations and high-voltage connections in Zuid Nederland, so that the Netherlands can also rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. Will you contribute to this as a Project Developer?

As a Project Developer, you operate in a complex stakeholder environment where technical, planning, social, and financial interests converge. You work across individual projects and maintain a view of the broader portfolio task in Zuid Nederland. In doing so, you make an active contribution to the development of future-proof high-voltage infrastructure, facilitate decision-making, and ensure alignment between different disciplines and chain partners.

As a Project Developer, you are responsible for further developing, aligning, and implementing project solutions for new high-voltage substations and high-voltage connections, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

What you'll do

  • You develop and implement advice, solution directions, and improvement initiatives within project development processes, ensuring that projects are technically, planning-wise, and organizationally feasible and executable.
  • You analyze technical, planning, and financial-economic issues and translate these into feasibility studies, project frameworks, and concrete recommendations, so that decision-making within projects and portfolios is supported.
  • You coordinate with project leaders, Functional Design Developers, portfolio managers, experts, governments, and other internal and external stakeholders, so that choices, dependencies, and interests are aligned in a timely manner.
  • You monitor the alignment of project solutions with policy, standards, requirement programs, specifications, and relevant laws and regulations, so that projects meet TenneT's quality and compliance requirements.
  • You coordinate the collaboration between disciplines and project teams during the development, construction, and commissioning phases, so that bottlenecks are resolved, chain dependencies remain transparent, and the realization of projects is accelerated.
  • You advise stakeholders based on your expertise in the field of asset management and project development and actively share knowledge and best practices, so that sustainable and future-proof choices are made for the electricity infrastructure.

Competencies

  • Balancing interests - You bring together diverse technical, planning, social, and organizational interests, help stakeholders reach supported choices, and create balanced decision-making, so that projects maintain progress and support is generated.
  • Action-orientedness - You identify opportunities and bottlenecks early, take initiative in complex issues, and stimulate those involved to act in a timely manner, so that project objectives can be realized within schedule and quality.
  • Interpersonal understanding / insight - You build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders from different disciplines and organizations and respond effectively to complex collaboration dynamics, so that collective results are achieved.
