  • You combine tactical and strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • You communicate persuasively and are able to connect different interests without losing sight of progress.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a technical, industrial, project-based, or operational environment is strongly desired.

Languages

  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • A salary appropriate to your experience, seniority, and the responsibility of the position.
  • Good secondary employment conditions and a pension/retirement provision.
  • Possibilities for variable compensation and participation in the share program within VINCI.
  • A mobility solution that suits traveling between the three locations.
  • Room for education, training, and personal development within the business unit and the broader VINCI Energies network.

The role

As an HR Business Partner within the business unit, you will have a broad role close to the operations. You are responsible for the people agenda of the three Dutch locations and act as a strong sparring partner for management and supervisors. Vlaardingen is the logical home base; additionally, you will be structurally visible in Wormerveer and Sas van Gent and will travel regularly between the locations.

You translate organizational objectives into a practical HR plan and switch effortlessly between strategy and daily HR issues. A people-oriented approach is central: you know what is happening on the shop floor, you dare to advise and challenge, and you ensure that HR policy actually works in practice.

We are looking for reinforcement for one of the business units in our network. This business unit has been a specialist in industrial insulation for more than 100 years and operates from Vlaardingen, Wormerveer, and Sas van Gent with approximately 50 colleagues, working on thermal, acoustic, and fire-resistant insulation for the maintenance of existing installations and for new construction projects in the industry.

Safe working, craftsmanship, quality, and service orientation are central. You work within the VINCI Energies network: with the short lines of communication and involvement of a specialist business unit, as well as the knowledge, development opportunities, and impact of an international network.

  • A broad HR Business Partner role with visible impact within an organization of approximately 50 employees and three locations.
  • Plenty of room to further shape the HR agenda and realize your own initiatives.
  • An organization with short lines of communication in which safety, craftsmanship, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are central.

What you'll do

  • Advising and challenging management and supervisors on organizational, leadership, and personnel issues.
  • Translating organizational objectives and personnel needs into a concrete and actionable HR plan.
  • Initiating and guiding organizational and cultural change, with attention to leadership, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Strengthening talent development, performance management, succession planning, and sustainable employability.
  • Advising on inflow, onboarding, development, retention, absenteeism, internal mobility, and outflow.
  • Guiding complex personnel and labor law issues and ensuring a consistent and careful approach.
  • Being actively visible on the shop floor and engaging in regular dialogue with employees and supervisors.
  • Improving and, where possible, harmonizing HR processes across the three locations, with an eye for local practice.
  • Using HR data and key figures to identify trends and support management decisions.
  • Initiating and coordinating HR projects and collaborating with colleagues and specialists within the VINCI Energies network.

How you'll work

  • You preferably live in the Rotterdam/West Netherlands region and are willing to travel regularly between Vlaardingen, Wormerveer, and Sas van Gent.
