About VIGO
In their own words
About the company & team
In the nursing/counseling team, you will search for what someone with a psychiatric disorder truly needs. A client's wishes and needs are often hidden beneath their behavior or their initial request for help. Your team works toward a Triple-C treatment climate. In your work, everyday life is central.
From a positive perspective, looking at possibilities, you work together with the client toward a pleasant existence. To this end, you hold conversations with clients on a variety of topics, including their mental health and well-being. You also support them in areas such as ADL and stimulate their participation in daily activities.
You will work in a team where a good sense of group cohesion, safety, openness, and warmth are important. Together with your team, you are ready for 19 clients in the Continued Treatment 5 ward, a treatment apartment within the Vincent van Gogh site in Venray, within the Long-term Care cluster (Continued Treatment & Residential). VB5 is an open ward for intensive guidance and treatment of clients. The ages of the clients vary from young to old. Our clients are admitted voluntarily or involuntarily due to mental vulnerability. Within this 24-hour treatment, you always work together with a colleague and only work day, weekend, and evening shifts. You do not have night shifts, as our night care team handles these.
One of the colleagues states: 'I find working within team VB5 educational and sociable. Our team currently consists mainly of experienced colleagues and it is a diverse group. A team where you quickly feel at home. Don't have all the experience yet? Then we are happy to help you further in your development."
