We are looking for a motivated fourth-year Bachelor's student in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field!
Are you looking for an internship where you can gain practical experience within Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry? Do you want to discover how quality management is applied at an international market leader? We offer an internship position within our local Belgian, Dutch, and Luxembourg (Benelux) Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and Quality Affairs department, where you will be given freedom and space for your own initiative.
Intern - Bachelor - Quality Assurance (QA) Intern - Animal Health
Your internship assignment
As an intern, you will support the QA team in managing and optimizing quality processes for veterinary medicines destined for Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. The project is focused on mapping and qualifying suppliers of veterinary medicines. In doing so, necessary Technical Quality Agreements and process improvements will also be examined. You will gain insight into GDP compliance and the quality management system.
Your responsibilities
• Drafting and maintaining an overview of inbound and outbound suppliers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Performing supplier qualifications and re-qualifications in accordance with GDP guidelines.
• Reviewing, updating, and, where necessary, drafting Technical Quality Agreements (TQAs).
• Supporting the optimization of quality processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participating in quality-related projects and improvement initiatives within the department.
The described tasks constitute the basic package and will often be carried out independently after proper training and a learning period. These tasks may be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.
What is required
• Fourth-year Bachelor's student in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proactive attitude and curiosity
• Strong analytical skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Interest in quality management and compliance.
• Ability to work independently within clear guidelines.
• Critical and problem-solving mindset.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and oral
• Available for a period of 6 months for 4-5 days per week
During this internship, you will learn, among other things:
• How GDP guidelines are applied in practice.
• How suppliers are qualified within the pharmaceutical sector.
• How quality agreements are established in Technical Quality Agreements.
• How deviations, notifications, and quality risks are managed.
• How a Quality Management System (QMS) functions within an international organization.
• How the relationship between quality, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance works.

About the company & team
The RA-PV-QA department is an essential hub in our organization. This department focuses on maintaining and managing product dossiers, including drafting and updating product information, to support timely and compliant market introduction and lifecycle management of veterinary medicines in the Benelux. Additionally, the department focuses on monitoring the quality, safety, and efficacy of products by processing and responding to internal and external questions and signals from the field. The team consists of 10 employees, all with extensive knowledge and experience in RA, PV, and/or QA in the pharmaceutical industry and national and European regulations. The team works closely with other departments within the company to achieve the set goals. Within Quality Assurance, we support compliance with GDP and quality requirements of the distribution chain between the warehouse and the end customer. We work closely with logistics partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that our products reach veterinarians in a safe and compliant manner.
