At this intensive day treatment center, we guide children in the development of their skills. Does this internship position excite you? Then read on quickly and apply!
Your internship, your development
At De Dondersteen, we offer intensive day treatment to children up to 12 years old in Deventer. The children are intensively guided in a group with other children for a number of half-days per week. There are a maximum of four children present per half-day. Work is carried out as much as possible with a fixed daily and weekly structure. In this, the individual treatment plan of the children and the family plan are leading in the methodical approach. Within the day treatment, children are encouraged to develop, within their possibilities, the skills needed to function in their daily living environment, their family, or school. If necessary, (action-oriented) diagnostics are performed to gain clarity on what each child needs to be able to develop. Parents are supported to guide their child as well as possible, to understand them, and to increase their parenting skills if there are questions about this.
Under supervision, you will learn the following tasks:
You work from a treatment plan, both group-oriented and individually with children;
You work together in a multidisciplinary team;
You work from a systems-theoretical vision;
You work together with the parents;
You are able to reflect on your own functioning
Requirements
We are looking for a strong, curious, and inquisitive person with analytical ability. Someone who can take initiatives, can recognize the essence of the problems, and can align their actions accordingly. Minimum age 20 years (at the start of the internship).
At the start of the internship, you are in your third or fourth year of a relevant HBO program with a youth care worker profile;
You are willing to put your own actions up for discussion;

What we offer
We offer an educational internship in which you can optimally develop yourself, both personally and professionally. You will do your internship in a beautiful working environment with an informal and collegial atmosphere, with a team that stands for the target group.

Guidance by a permanent supervisor within the team;
A clear and methodical concept from which guidance and leadership are provided;
Internship period starting from February 2027 for at least 10 months.
