What will you do?

No two days are the same. One moment you are busy setting up a new order, while an hour later you are calling suppliers to coordinate delivery times or resolve a production bottleneck. In the role of Operational Buyer, you ensure that external processes are carried out on time, as agreed, and under the correct conditions. You also ensure that outsourcing runs smoothly, maintain contact with suppliers, and keep a grip on delivery times, quality, and costs. In short, your duties are:

• Creating and processing purchase orders in the system
• Monitoring delivery times and outstanding orders
• Actively following up with suppliers and deliveries
• Outsourcing metalworking and surface treatments
• Maintaining and further developing supplier relationships
• Organizing external capacity when production requires it
• Coordinating with production, planning, logistics, and other internal stakeholders
• Guiding orders from preparation through to return receipt

You switch daily between the shop floor, suppliers, and colleagues from planning, logistics, and production. This makes the position varied, responsible, and important for the entire organization.
