Requirements
What we're looking for
- A completed education in the field of Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar;
- Experience with or interest in production automation, robotics, and process optimization;
- Knowledge of 3D software packages;
- A proactive, practical, and result-oriented attitude;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate projects;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

The role
What will you do?
As an Automation Engineer at VD Leegte Metaal, you will work on challenging automation projects that contribute to more efficient, smarter, and future-proof production. This includes the further development of welding robot cells, the automation of pressing processes, and the optimization of the supply and removal of parts within CNC production lines.
What you'll do
- Analyzing production processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and automation;
- Developing, supervising, and realizing automation projects, together with colleagues or external partners;
- Coordinating, monitoring, and overseeing the progress, planning, and results of projects;
- Programming and optimizing robots and cobots;
- Following and applying new developments in the fields of robotics, mechatronics, and production automation.
During your onboarding period
During your onboarding period, you will be given the time to get to know the company better during several shadowing days in various departments. This will quickly give you insight into our processes and technical challenges, and you will also get to know your new colleagues quickly.
