The role

Are you our new Business Partner for S(afety), H(ealth) and E(nvironment)? Together with management, you will devise how we can get both the department and our chain partners moving towards working safely, healthily, and with environmental awareness. Due to the energy transition, we have more work to process than ever, and this must be carried out in a responsible manner every single time. Our energy infrastructure is located right in the middle of our customers' living environments. Our technicians work there daily on stations, cables, and pipelines—activities in which various safety and environmental aspects play a role. Aspects that are directly felt by both our colleagues and our customers.

What you'll do

In our thematic core teams, you are a strong SHE professional who, together with colleagues, prepares and deepens topics and translates them into concrete support for the business. You work proactively on themes that are important to the entire organization and bring collective insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement to the operational departments.

From this broad, thematic SHE perspective, you investigate relevant developments in the industry, analyze studies and trends, and translate these into practical, applicable advice. With your broad view, you bring coherence between themes, recognize opportunities for improvement, and help teams tackle SHE issues from a shared vision. In this way, you actively contribute to a professional and safe working environment.

By listening well to what is happening within the organization, you identify bottlenecks early and address them together with your core team. In this way, you help build a future-proof and safe grid, always with safety, health, and environment as the starting point.

Additionally, you provide support during (near-) accidents, perform analyses that actually lead to improvements, and help managers to implement these sustainably. Together with colleagues in the core teams, business partners, and policy advisors, you increase SHE knowledge within Stedin. Finally, you contribute to inspiring initiatives such as the Stedin Safety Award, the Golden Safety Shoe, and various knowledge sessions.

  • You start the day with recent reports, incidents, and analyses.
  • Next, you go on-site for investigations, observations, and conversations with teams and technicians.
  • On the way, you share insights and work together with colleagues on projects and themes.
  • Continuously, you keep important SHE topics visible and discussable within the organization.
  • In this role, you combine advice, analysis, and practice into one impactful contribution.
