What you'll do

As a Recruitment Business Partner at VDL ETG Technology & Development (T&D), you take on the challenge of taking recruitment to the next level. In this role, you are responsible, on one hand, for establishing a recruitment strategy in collaboration with the business. On the other hand, you have your feet in the clay and are responsible for attracting scarce technical talent, from HBO and WO starters to experienced specialists. You are the recruitment partner for VDL ETG T&D, focusing primarily on the Eindhoven and Almelo locations. Eindhoven is your base and largest work area, but you consider it a matter of course to be regularly visible at both locations. On average, you visit the Almelo branch about once a month to continue to understand the business, hiring managers, and the labor market well. In your role, you are responsible for your own recruitment as well as for coordinating recruitment via our suppliers.

You combine a hands-on approach with a sharp long-term vision. In doing so, you work closely with hiring managers, HR, and communication to further professionalize recruitment, increase the visibility of VDL ETG T&D as an employer, and build a strong talent pipeline. You are part of the broader recruitment team of VDL Groep. Within this team, every recruiter has their own companies and area of focus, while you work together on recruitment events, employer branding, and other organization-wide recruitment initiatives. Your responsibilities include:

Developing and executing effective recruitment and sourcing strategies for complex technical target groups;
Managing your vacancy portfolio and guiding the full recruitment process, from intake to employment;
Building and maintaining talent pools and proactively approaching potential candidates through various channels;
Advising and challenging hiring managers regarding the labor market, candidate experience, and recruitment approach;
Strengthening employer branding through, among other things, labor market events, target-group-oriented content, and the visibility of VDL ETG T&D as an employer.
