As a First-class Electrical Technician at Stedin, you ensure that the electricity grid remains reliable for both private customers and business clients. The energy transition is causing an increasingly heavily loaded grid due to, among other things, solar panels, charging stations, and growing business activity. You ensure the grid is ready for this and intervene when necessary.
Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
Driving around in your own Stedin van with the latest tools.
Varied work: from maintenance and faults to activities on business projects.
A lot of responsibility and no two days are the same.
If you work in the Maintenance chain, you focus on preventing and resolving faults in the electricity grid. You also perform maintenance on low-voltage cabinets and medium-voltage cabinets. When you work an on-call and fault service shift, you go out - also in the evenings, at night, or on weekends - to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.
Within the Business Project chain, you work on installing, modifying, or reinforcing connections for companies and organizations. You realize new connections, modify existing connections, and replace or reinforce cables, often at larger business locations or in entire neighborhoods. Additionally, within Business Projects, you also work an on-call and fault service shift to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.
Depending on your education, experience, and preference, you will work in low and/or medium voltage and within maintenance or business projects.
A day as an electrical technician:
The working day starts from one of our locations in South Holland, near Rotterdam.

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know where you stand:
A salary of up to € 4,302 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week.
A personal budget of 24% on top of your salary (incl. holiday allowance), good for extra salary or extra leave days.
€ 80 net field allowance per month.
An on-call and disturbance allowance of € 438.08 gross for a full on-call week, on top of the compensation you naturally receive for your overtime during this on-call period. You can also have this paid out or convert it into leave.
On top of that, there is this:
A personal company van with modern tools.
Annually € 700 (gross) for your own energy, for example for sports or vitality.
Plenty of development and growth opportunities, for example towards technical specialist or supervisor.
Full of energy forward with the Maintenance or Business Project team
From day one, you will be part of the Maintenance or Business Project team. You will work from one of the locations in the Rotterdam area and carry out activities in the region. This means you will always work close to home and make a direct impact on the electricity grid for both residents and businesses.
This work suits real go-getters. You remain calm in unexpected situations and enjoy working together.
Furthermore, you have:
An MBO education level 3 or 4 in electrical engineering.
A VP/AVP LS/MS designation (or the willingness to obtain this).
