Rheumatologist

With us, you will practice rheumatology in its full breadth. Our department provides consultation hours at the main location in Harderwijk and additionally at our outpatient clinics in Lelystad and Dronten. Within our department, 5 rheumatologists and 4 rheumatology nurses work. The outpatient clinic is actively supported by medical assistants and a medical secretariat. Together with the rheumatology nurses, we care for our patients with, among others, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and gout.

Our department is part of the SRU (Stichting Reumaonderzoek Utrecht), within which we participate with scientific studies and referral evenings. We have two ultrasound machines and two nailfold capillaroscopes at our disposal. We regularly train medical students. Additionally, we actively participate in department- and staff-related tasks and you will provide continuing education.

Monthly, we discuss our patients with the internists at the Immunology MDO and the radiologists (Radiology MDO). In the field of systemic diseases, we bring cases into the ARCH network. Within our hospital, we have good contacts with, among others, dermatologists, orthopedists, and pulmonologists. Digitalization of care processes is an important priority in our hospital; recently, the telemonitoring project for rheumatoid arthritis has been running.

The atmosphere within our hospital is very pleasant both in the outpatient clinic and on the nursing wards. Contact with other specialists is characterized by low thresholds and short lines.

You are an enthusiastic, all-round rheumatologist or you are an AIOS who will soon complete your training. You are flexible, stress-resistant, and have a heart for peripheral practice. Experience with ultrasound and experience or interest in administrative work is a plus. Contributing to the internal organization of the department and potentially committee work can also be part of the job package. Good communication skills are a matter of course in this regard.
