Collections Specialist

Collections Specialist
(32 - 40 hours)
As a Collections Specialist, you are responsible for collecting outstanding claims arising from cable damage during excavation work. You are the final piece of the cable damage team: where they hold parties liable, you ensure that the claims are actually paid. Your duties include:
· Managing collection files and processing data;
· Maintaining telephone and written contact with those responsible and clients;
· Drafting payment arrangements and resolving disputes;
· Identifying problems and responding to them proactively;
· Preparing account statements and reports for clients, colleagues, and management;
· Processing received payments.
You also have knowledge of the preliminary process, so that you are substantively strong in conversations and know what you are talking about.

The department
The team currently consists of 31 colleagues who deal with diverse activities such as collection, legal assessment, and claims handling. Together they form a close-knit and committed team dedicated to the successful handling of cable damage. Annually, we handle over 20,000 claims involving network cables.
