  • Answering questions from colleagues about invoices and payments;
  • Thinking along about practical improvements and further digitalization of our financial processes.

Who are we?

SSH is a student housing provider with approximately 19,000 units in locations including Utrecht, Groningen, Rotterdam, Zwolle, and Tilburg. We provide student housing close to educational institutions for all students. We do more than just provide housing. For a student, a room is not just a roof over their head; it is the start of their adult life.

What sets us apart is that we consciously focus on living together and meeting others. We choose housing types and buildings that stimulate contact, because we believe this contributes to the personal and social development of students.

At SSH, you won't find a sluggish corporate culture, but a dynamic environment where collaboration is central and where you truly make a difference for the next generation. We are looking for doers and thinkers who will make this ambition a reality with us.

The team

You will join the financial administration team, which consists of 4 colleagues including yourself. The team is involved in processing the financial administration from A to Z. We work hard, enjoy helping each other, and combine professionalism with a healthy dose of humor. Collaboration is central, and we are looking for someone who actively contributes to the team and enjoys sharing knowledge.

What will you do?

Are you looking for a position in which you make a valuable contribution to a team? Then we would love to meet you. At SSH, we are looking for a colleague who works carefully and reliably, maintains an overview, and takes pleasure in a well-organized administration. The position is available for 16 to 36 hours per week. Together, we will discuss how many hours you want to work and how we can appropriately distribute the workdays and working hours, taking into account your wishes and the needs of the team.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a colleague who takes pleasure in working carefully and enjoys bringing structure. You are independent, reliable, and feel responsible for the quality of your work.

You do not need to have the ambition to become a manager or to grow into another position. What we do find important is that you remain curious, keep your professional knowledge up to date, and enjoy thinking along when something can be done smarter or more efficiently.

The process works as follows:

  1. Apply via the website: Click the button and leave your details by October 23 at the latest. This way, we will have everything complete immediately and keep it tidy according to the GDPR.
  2. First telephone check: First, we will have a brief call. This allows us to get to know each other and check the basics before we meet in person.
  3. First interview at the office: We will sit down to hear who you are, what you are good at, what you still have to learn, and whether we are a good match.
  4. Second round (the deep dive): Time to go into depth! This could be another interview or a short business case to see how you think, or a shadowing day to get a feel for the team atmosphere.
  5. Checking references: We would love to hear from a former employer about what it is like to work with you. A short check is a standard part of the step toward your new contract.
  6. Employment conditions discussion: We will discuss the offer from A to Z, so you know exactly where you stand before we celebrate and draw up the contract.

Become enthusiastic? Great!

Click the button to share your details, CV, and your story with us. We find a motivation letter more important than a CV.

Questions?

Do you have questions about this position? Bas de Ronde has the answers. At least, for most questions. Call 06-29158173 or email basderonde@sshxl.nl.

Please note: as part of the procedure, we perform a reference and diploma check and request a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Acquisition? No thanks, we prefer to handle our own business!

At SSH, we prefer to see for ourselves who fits with us. However, we do use smart (AI) tools to filter on hard criteria by means of knock-out questions. This gives you clarity about your application more quickly. In all other cases, we naturally assess your application personally.
