The role

Thanks to your knowledge of movement, you improve the mobility and vitality of elderly people with dementia and map out what these clients are still capable of. Would you like to come and meet us?

Your efforts focus on a combination of recreational, preventive, and functional movement. You use movement purposefully to increase the well-being, vitality, and quality of life of our residents. By connecting with the client's possibilities, needs, and lived experience, movement can contribute to relaxation, enjoyment, reducing restlessness, and maintaining as much autonomy as possible.

What you'll do

As a movement educator within Saffier, you have several important tasks:

  • You observe residents during movement activities, signal changes in functioning, well-being, and behavior, and coordinate this with the care team and other practitioners. Together, you investigate how movement can contribute to the client's self-reliance, well-being, and quality of life.

  • You develop, organize, and supervise appropriate movement activities for our residents. In doing so, you connect with their possibilities, needs, and lived experience. Additionally, you enjoy contributing to events and initiatives in the field of sport, movement, and vitality.

  • You have a coaching and advisory role towards care staff, informal caregivers, and family members. You encourage them to make movement a natural and appropriate part of the resident's daily life.

  • You work closely with physiotherapists, activity coordinators, and other disciplines within the treatment team. Through this collaboration, you ensure that movement is optimally utilized as part of the total care and treatment.

About the locations

You will work at three of our locations where we provide a home for people with dementia: Nebo, located next to the beautiful Clingendael park, De Baton, our newest location at the Randveen, and De Drie Linden, our small-scale residential location in Moerwijk.

Although we form one Saffier together, every location has its own atmosphere and identity. What connects us is the shared ambition to provide residents with the care and support they need, in an environment where they feel at home.

Your profile

  • You have an MBO diploma in Movement Education (level 4)

  • You have an affinity with the dementia target group

  • You are independent, entrepreneurial, and show initiative

  • You are communicative and good at generating enthusiasm and motivating movement

What it offers you

  • A contract for 24 to 32 hours per week

  • Salary in FWG 45 CAO VVT up to max. €4,245.84 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week

  • Pension accrual at pension fund Zorg & Welzijn, 8% holiday allowance, and 8.33% end-of-year bonus

  • Personal training and development plan

  • Saffier has an active staff association of which you are automatically a member

  • We encourage health and vitality. Free fruit is available at every workplace and as an employee, you can receive a discount on the purchase of a bicycle, personal phone, tablet, laptop, wellness voucher, or gym membership
