The role

Working at Swaenesteyn is meaningful, because you help make a difference in the lives of our elderly residents.

Your role as Living Room Assistant (ass. Care and Welfare B)

We appreciate it when you take initiative and enjoy doing just that little bit extra. Think of introducing variety to breakfast, surprising residents with a fresh smoothie, placing orders and ensuring there is sufficient stock, and having an eye for what residents need.

In the morning, you prepare breakfast for the residents, taking dietary requirements into account and ensuring they have everything they need. You contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere in which residents truly feel seen.

In addition to providing meals, you consider it a matter of course to leave the kitchen clean and tidy. You work according to HACCP guidelines, where hygiene and food safety always come first.

About your workplace

Swaenesteyn is a lively and cozy nursing home in the Leyenburg district of The Hague. This location is part of the specialized care expertise domain. Our residents live in a spacious two-room apartment where they receive (complex) somatic nursing care. With us, you will find yourself in a dynamic working environment, where employees are encouraged to think along about changes and improvements in care.

With our team, we try with great enthusiasm and pleasure to collectively make the residents' lives as enjoyable as possible. Residents receive support with care and treatment, but also with realizing a meaningful daily routine such as they were used to at home. We challenge each other to deliver more quality and to make a difference together.
