Requirements
What we're looking for
A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in occupational therapy and registration in the Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici
Relevant (clinical) work experience is a plus
You work independently and enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
You are flexible, stress-resistant, and can handle a dynamic working environment well
Strong communication skills and a quality-oriented, proactive attitude
The role
This is what you will do
For one person it is second nature, for another an enormous task. After illness, injury, or surgery, simple actions can suddenly become a challenge and completely change daily functioning. As an occupational therapist, you help patients regain control of their day step by step. You look not only at the limitation, but especially at the possibilities. And how someone can continue as independently as possible.
The activities primarily involve clinical patient care. Important tasks in this include performing occupational therapy assessments, making occupational therapy diagnoses, drawing up treatment plans, and motivating and guiding patients. There is close collaboration with other disciplines. You provide advice from your field of expertise to patients and loved ones, nurses, room service staff, and specialists.
This is where you will work
You will be working within the occupational therapy department, part of the RVE Paramedical Care, together with the physiotherapy, speech therapy, and dietetics departments. Within this RVE, collaboration is central and expertise is actively shared with one another.
The occupational therapy department is an ambitious and committed department, consisting of four enthusiastic colleagues and a paramedical care assistant. The occupational therapists are deployable within various specialties, with a major area of focus on cognition, particularly in the neurology department. In addition to clinical activities, the department is also active within pulmonary rehabilitation and in the field of occupational health (arbo).
Within the department, there is much attention to development and knowledge sharing. Training courses are provided, students are supervised, and several colleagues participate in internal, regional, and national working groups. This aligns with MST's ambition to continuously improve and innovate in healthcare.
This concerns a temporary position of 32 hours per week, to replace maternity leave. The position starts in January 2027 and you will receive a contract for 6 months. If possible, there may be room for extra deployment for a limited number of hours, either consecutively or during the holiday period. The possibilities for this are not yet definitive at this time and unfortunately, we cannot make any further commitments yet.
What you bring
Would you like more information about the vacancy? Please contact Chantal Berentschot, paramedical care department manager, via telephone number 06-50070447.
