Speech Therapist

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is driven in their profession, thinks in a solution-oriented manner, and wants to work closely with other disciplines. As a speech therapist at Stichting Humanitas, you and your colleagues contribute to ensuring that our residents can live in their own way as much as possible. We offer a varied range of tasks.

These include, among others:

• You examine, treat, and advise clients (both psychogeriatric and somatic), informal caregivers, and involved healthcare providers;

• Periodically evaluating the treatment plan;

• Ensuring reporting in the EHR;

• Advising the care and treatment team on profession-related topics such as swallowing and communication advice;

• First-line treatment/advice in the community;

• You will become part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapy and exercise therapists, and dietitians. You will also become part of the professional group and contribute ideas regarding the content of the role as a speech therapist.

The treatment service of Stichting Humanitas consists of a medical and paramedical service and is more than 80 employees large. This multidisciplinary team consists of, among others, doctors, psychologists, physiotherapy and exercise therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and dietitians.

Our speech therapists work at various intramural locations (somatic, psychogeriatrics, GRZ) in Rotterdam. Additionally, we offer speech therapy via primary care to clients at the community centers, the life-course-proof housing, and in the community.

• HBO diploma in speech therapy;

• Registration in the Quality Register;

• Affinity and preferably experience and/or relevant specialization with the elderly target group;

• In possession of a driver's license;

• You are flexible, show initiative, and have an entrepreneurial attitude;

• Good oral and written expression skills and good social skills;

• You are able to participate in a multidisciplinary team.
