Care Assistant Nursing Ward Oncological Surgery

As a care assistant on nursing ward A1 (oncological surgery), you are an indispensable link within the team. You work on a dynamic ward with 25 clinical beds and 6 day center chairs, where no two days are the same.

You support patients with ADL care and nutrition, ensure materials and rooms are kept clean and in order, and replenish supplies. You transport items, materials, and/or samples to and from other departments. You take care of cleaning patient rooms after nuclear treatment in a careful and responsible manner, always working according to protocol. Additionally, you support the nurses in their daily activities and contribute to a pleasant and safe care environment.

The combination of clinical care and day treatment provides a lot of variety and requires your flexibility, involvement, and proactive attitude. Together, we ensure the best possible care for our oncological surgical patients as well as a good learning environment for colleagues in training.

Nursing ward A1 is a surgical nursing ward with a large variety of patients and medical conditions. On this ward, patients are nursed with conditions in the fields of Urology, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Surgery, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, and Dermatology. The ward also features an isolation unit where patients are treated by means of nuclear therapy. In addition to clinical care, nursing ward A1 provides non-oncological day treatment to outpatient patients.

It is a dynamic ward with many varied tasks and responsibilities where much attention is paid to future-proof care. Our team consists of 1 department head, 1 team leader, and 22 nurses. The team is supported by administrative and care support staff and trainees.

• You possess a Level 2 Care Assistant (Helpende Niveau 2) diploma or an equivalent diploma.

• You are independent, accurate, and have good communication and social skills.

• Customer- and quality-oriented, careful, and a true team player.

Depending on education and experience, the salary is at least € 2,651 and at most € 3,353 gross per month for a full-time appointment. This salary is exclusive of irregular hour allowances, holiday allowance, and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual salary.

This concerns an employment contract of 1 year for an average of 16 hours per week in accordance with article 2.4.2 Cao umc, being a temporary contract preceding an employment contract for an indefinite period as referred to in paragraph 3 of article 2.3 Cao umc.

Upon sufficient performance, the fixed-term employment contract will be followed by an employment contract for an indefinite period.

You are expected to work irregular shifts during evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
