In the Tech & Data Young Talent Program, you will work for three years as a full colleague on technological and data-driven innovations that affect millions of people. From day one, you are part of our teams and you make an impact!

The Young Talent Program is a three-year program in which you contribute to important strategic and organization-wide issues that influence KPN's course. During this program, you discover KPN from the inside and start in a role or assignment that aligns with your educational background and work experience. You will work within one of our technical domains, such as Data Science & AI, IT, Network & Cloud, or Cyber Security, where you will further deepen and develop your expertise within a suitable field.

You will gain a broad view of the technical challenges and opportunities within KPN by working with different teams and stakeholders. Under the guidance of experienced technical colleagues, you will build substantive knowledge, increase your impact, and develop step-by-step into a solid professional within your specialty. Additionally, you will develop both technical and communicative skills and build a strong internal network.

A glimpse of possible activities that will be offered within the Tech & Data track:

• As a Young Talent within Security, you can work on diverse cybersecurity activities: from identifying areas for improvement in processes and analyzing security trends to creating clear reports and improving security policy.
• As a Young Talent within Data, you can work on challenging data assignments such as predicting sales and next-best-offers using ML & DL models for the Consumer Market & Business Market teams.
•  As a Young Talent within Tech/IT, you can, for example, build bots and scripts to automate processes, including through the use of AI.  

In addition to challenging projects, you will follow a personal development program. This program focuses on leadership, self-awareness, and collaboration. During the Tech & Data track of the Young Talent Program, you will receive guidance from a talent manager and a buddy. Additionally, you will learn from professional trainers and become part of a close-knit community of fellow trainees and KPN employees.

As a Tech & Data Young Talent at KPN, you discover your qualities. During the application process, we will look together at where your talent fits best within KPN. What we ask for:

• You have almost or just graduated with a university bachelor's or master's degree in the direction of: Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Telecommunications, Network Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, or Cyber Security.
• You have knowledge of programming languages and tooling such as Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, containerization, and cloud services (such as AWS or Azure)
• You want to translate complex digital transformations and technical issues into functional solutions and inspire teams to contribute to KPN's objectives.
• You are eager to learn, ambitious, and ready to develop yourself both professionally and personally
• You are a team player with excellent communication skills
• You speak and write Dutch fluently
• The start date of this program is March 1, 2027.

During this program, you will start as a full employee at KPN. Naturally, this comes with great conditions. 

• A gross monthly salary of € 3900,- based on 40 hours

• A permanent contract from day 1
• An annual individual and collective increase in accordance with our CAO

• Good pension conditions: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, of which KPN contributes 16% and you 7%
