Process Security Officer

• University-level (WO) working and thinking level.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• Experience with security controls, Identity & Access Management, vulnerability management, secure system configuration, end point protection, and other common security measures.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (such as GDPR; NIS2, ISO 27001, and comparable frameworks).
• Demonstrable affinity with IT, digital platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and prioritize risks.
• Excellent advisory, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of telecom, digital platform, or technology environments is a plus.

B2C Solutions plays a central role in the digital transformation of KPN. As transformations such as Unlock Data, Autonomous Operations, Digital BSS, and Agentic AI take shape, the importance of well-implemented and demonstrably working security controls continues to increase.

In our model, we have a clear separation of responsibilities. Policy and frameworks (the 'what') lie with the CISO and stakeholders, the competence center (the 'how to support') translates policy into guidelines and advice, and the domains execute (the 'how to implement'). The Decentralized Security Officer is the connecting link that helps the domain to implement, safeguard, and monitor security processes and controls in practice.

For this assignment, we are looking for a Decentralized Security Officer who translates policy into practical guidance and supports domains in execution. It is explicitly not a lead or ownership role, but a consultant-like, hands-on advisory role focused on security controls within and across the domains.

As a Process Security Officer within B2C Solutions, you work at the intersection of security policy and execution within the domains. You are the bridge between the central frameworks from the CISO and the competence center on one hand, and the practical implementation in the domains on the other.

You advise domains on the design and operation of security controls, support implementation, and monitor effectiveness. In doing so, you focus on the core of the security RUN capabilities: such as the quality of Identity & Access Management, vulnerability posture, secure configuration, End point protection, and other security policy aspects to be implemented, as well as the disciplined decommissioning of legacy risks.

You provide reliable, accessible security insights that enable management to make informed decisions and steer with purpose. You work closely with the CISO organization, the security engineering team, the competence center, and the IT teams within the domains.
