Data Engineer

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Data Engineer or similar;
• Experience with developing data pipelines and data integration solutions;
• Strong knowledge of SQL;
• Experience with Python;
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure;
• Knowledge of data modeling and data platform architectures;
• Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Analytics is a plus;
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps principles is a plus;
• Interest in developments surrounding Data & AI.
• Fluent command of the Dutch language (C1/C2), oral and written

As a Data Engineer, you play a key role in this. You design, build, and optimize modern data platforms that allow organizations to deploy their data reliably, scalably, and future-proofly. You connect data sources, develop data pipelines, and ensure that data is available for dashboards, analyses, data exchange, and AI applications.

You will work on diverse projects for large organizations in the Netherlands. Sometimes you will help build a completely new data platform, sometimes you will help organizations modernize their existing environment or prepare it for AI-driven applications.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes;
• Integrating data from internal and external sources;
• Developing data platforms in modern cloud environments;
• Modeling, transforming, and exposing data for analytics, BI, and AI;
• Improving performance, scalability, and data quality;
• Thinking along about data architecture and technical choices;
• Collaborating with architects, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
