Will you help our teams deliver valuable products and get better every sprint? As a scrum master at Berenschot, you create focus, stimulate ownership, and help teams, product owners, and stakeholders collaborate effectively. You are not just a facilitator of ceremonies, but primarily a coach for teams and their environment. Additionally, you provide direction to the professionalization of our agile way of working in the form of training and coaching.

The Digital and Data team develops and improves digital platforms and AI solutions. In doing so, we support the digital transition of our organization and contribute to societal issues in areas such as healthcare, education, and government. For example, we make the global impact of the off-grid energy sector insightable, enable hundreds of integrity scans, and help municipalities gain insight into their finances.

As a scrum master, you guide one or more teams and work together with our colleagues on a shared, sustainable agile way of working. You:

• support teams in improving focus, prioritization, ceremonies, transparency, and meeting agreements

• stimulate reflection, help others to find solutions themselves, and increase ownership within teams

• coach team members, product owners, and other stakeholders in their roles, collaboration, and agile mindset

• help teams to apply the scrum methodology effectively, identify cross-team patterns in collaboration, and translate these into concrete improvement actions for the organization.

• develop and provide training, workshops, and working sessions to increase agile knowledge and skills within the teams.

Berenschot is an independent Dutch organizational consultancy firm in Utrecht, where more than 500 driven colleagues work on sustainable solutions for the challenges of our clients. You will join the Digital and Data team. The team consists of a group of fifteen smart and enthusiastic developers, with an informal and collegial atmosphere. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are central in this dynamic environment.

What is it like to work at Berenschot as a Business advisor?

You are an accessible and strong scrum master who moves teams forward without taking over ownership. You can switch between team dynamics, process improvement, and conversations with stakeholders. You:

• can empathize well with the needs of individual team members without losing sight of the collective team goal

• communicate clearly, contribute to an open and safe working atmosphere, and connect people with different expertise and perspectives

• can design and provide training and workshops that align with the practical reality of teams

• have a clear vision on agile working and dare to constructively challenge existing ways of working, even if others are critical of them

• have one to three years of experience as a scrum master, agile coach, or team coach. You have guided teams in applying scrum and improving their processes

• possess a relevant certification, for example Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), or are willing to obtain one. Additional certifications such as PSM II or Lean are a plus

• have experience working within a consultancy firm involving software development and data-driven working. Knowledge of Azure DevOps is also a plus.

• master the Dutch language at a minimum B2 level.
