Junior Performance Engineer Measurement and Control Technology (Starter / Young Professional)

• A completed MBO 4 or HBO education, or nearly graduated, for example in electrical engineering, installation technology, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering.
• Interest in measurement and control technology, building management systems, or automation.
• Affinity with data, sustainability, and smart buildings.
• An analytical mindset and the drive to understand and improve things.
• You enjoy working together and dare to ask questions.
• Experience is a plus, but certainly not a must.

As a Performance Engineer Measurement and Control Technology at MEET RIVM, part of Strukton Nederland, you will get the chance to develop into a specialist in optimizing building performance. You will work in and on the new RIVM building at the Utrecht Science Park: one of the most complex and sustainable buildings in the Netherlands.

Here you will learn on the job, receive targeted technical training, and participate in the Strukton Starters Program. Together with other young professionals, you will grow from a starter to a professional.

In this role, you will learn how measurement and control technology, data, and building performance come together. Step by step, you will grow in responsibilities. Think of:

• Analyzing measurement and trend data from building management systems and learning how to translate this into concrete improvements.
• Collaborating on the setup and further development of dashboards and KPI reports within BMS, EMS, and GBS environments.
• Daily monitoring of technical installations such as climate, energy, and control systems.
• Collaborating with maintenance teams and service partners and learning how to initiate and follow up on improvement actions.
• Testing and checking sensors and control loops to ensure data is reliable.
• Contributing ideas for smart control strategies, energy optimization, and comfort improvement.
• Recording analyses and results so that everyone can manage based on the same insights.

You will join MEET RIVM, the specialist within Strukton Nederland in building-bound maintenance for the new RIVM complex at the Utrecht Science Park. MEET RIVM is an organization under construction. That means you will not only collaborate but also contribute ideas on how processes, planning, and cooperation can best be organized for the operational phase.

You will work entirely on-site together with colleagues from maintenance, management, contract management, and external partners. The lines are short, the responsibilities are clear, and your role is essential for a stable operation.
