Junior Data Engineer

• You have 0 to 2 years of work experience.

• You have some experience with SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks and packages such as PySpark and Pandas. 

• You have some experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data platform technologies.

• You are familiar with designing and building deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. 

• You have some experience working according to DevOps methodologies. 

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in a technical field, such as Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering. 

• You have excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3100,- and € 3500,- based on 40 hours excluding holiday allowance (holiday allowance is paid monthly).

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design and build data-driven products and to create a new data backbone for our data science projects. The Data Engineer will take the lead in bringing our clients to the next level of data handling and data automation capabilities. Furthermore, you will apply (technical) leadership skills, experience, and vision to create efficient data applications.

• Under guidance, contributes to the design and building of reusable data models and data solutions

• Develops or maintains data pipelines (such as ETL/ELT processes) and contributes to setting up data lakes and data warehouses

• Has an interest in applying analytical methods and learns to use them in practice step by step

• Wants to learn to work with cloud infrastructure and associated data platforms

• Wants to develop within a commercially oriented and/or consulting environment

• Enjoys collaborating in a team setting with colleagues with different expertise

• Feels comfortable in an environment with motivated people who strive together for high quality for clients

• You have an engineering mindset, a passion for data and data technology, and an ambition to further develop yourself.
