The Engine Services product group is located in a dynamic market with many competitors and is part of a global Air France KLM network. The Machining department performs machining repair work through machining processes such as grinding, turning, milling, and manufacturing/modification work. Within our department, we use various types of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining machines, including both 2D and 3D milling machines, carousel machines, High Speed Grinders (HSG), and other turning and grinding machines.

These activities are performed on components such as Rotors, Combustion Cases, and parts of industrial gas turbines. Furthermore, we are also involved in Repair development work; during the Industrialization process, Repair instructions and drawings (blueprints) from the OEM and/or the engineering unit are converted into digital instructions (programming) for the machines or robots, after which we proceed to perform the operation.

As a grinder (internal designation: Machining Specialist Skill A Level 1), you will work as a specialist within the Machining department of Engine Services. The core of the work is performing machining operations on aircraft engine components and land engine parts. This is done such that assignments are completed on time and in accordance with the required specifications and customer wishes, and that applicable safety regulations are observed. For the execution of the work, CNC-controlled machines and conventional lathes are used. As in any commercial organization, but particularly due to the very high safety standard, administration also constitutes a significant part of the role.
